Since 1984 WTC Ft Lauderdale has been an active participant in the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) which was established in 1970 by Founder and President Guy F. Tozzoli. WTCA is a not-for-profit, non-political association dedicated to the promotion and facilitation of world trade. The WTCA connects its members to the global trade community in more than 300 cities and 90 countries through a powerful array of information and services. More than 1,000,000 companies are affiliated with WTCA members worldwide.

As a world leader in creating innovative services for international business, the mission of the WTCA is to support the establishment and successful operation of individual WTC’s, which enhances stability, peace, world trade and development, leading to economic growth.

Who We Are

Jeff Meiskin is a business executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of diversified domestic and international business experience in owning, operating and running businesses in multiple industries. During his career he has held equity, managerial and board positions in start-ups and mature companies. His career has focused on the financial, operational and managerial side of a wide array of business interests.

While working at a major US importer and distributor of Apparel, Jeff held positions of increasing responsibility starting out as a Controller and culminating as Chief Financial Officer, Director and Partner. During his tenure his experience expanded to all phases of the business and how the financial aspects need to work in harmony with manufacturing, sales, warehousing, shipping, personnel and business operations to maximize profits. Additionally, Jeff’s involvement expanded to the capital marketplace where he developed a keen ability to work with financial lending institutions and private capital sources to develop financial models leading to successful lending regardless of the business focus.

For the past six years Jeff has been a Partner in a regional real estate developmentbusiness, where he has concentrated on capital raising activities and financial modeling, operations, administration, strategic planning, business development, risk management and cash flow planning.

Over the years, Jeff has consulted for and been involved with various startups and entrepreneurial businesses in different industries. He has worked closely with various partners and C-level executives and their entrepreneurial business styles and understands how to move businesses to the next level of success by maximizing shareholder return and creating value.

Jeff started his career as a CPA in public accounting where he worked as a Tax Specialist / Senior Accountant for KPMG before moving into private industry. He graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in Accounting.



Sid Schechter
has spent the past 35 years specializing in strategic planning for more than 100 organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to privately held special interest partnerships. His worked focused on developing business approaches and sales promotions designed to reach the targeted consumers for each participating brand. During a 20 year time period, Sid worked with all of the major tv networks and media outlets, creating marketing, sales, and public relations campaigns linked to the major professional sports leagues (NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB). The high profile national and global campaigns served the business interests of major consumer brands looking to connect with potential consumers.

Over the past 5 years, Sid was responsible for the development and launch of two major sports facilities that catered to the needs of youth participants and served to guide young people to garner the best that sports has to offer. Internationally, Sid developed business backed promotional campaigns in more than one dozen countries delivered through programming with local organizations in each country that served interests of their local communities.

Sid understands the role that government agencies and universities play in business having worked as a consultant to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and having developed programs and activities to support business interests on over 800 colleges throughout the United States. Sid is currently working with the Iacocca Institute PA School for Global Entrepreneurship at Lehigh University to develop the skills and experiences of top high school students attending a summer 2011 program at the University.

Sid’s strength is in bringing together complementary entities to turn a plus into a multiplier and have each participant in the venture gain more than they can accomplish on their own.
